How to prepare your foldingtent for the new season!
Take out your sunglasses, towel and gazebo and prepare properly for the summer season!
Advice 1
Look for broken or missing parts of your folding tent Take some time to open your scissors tent and inspect it about a month before you plan to use it! Thoroughly inspect the tent for damaged and / or missing parts. First, start by inspecting the folding rack and making sure nothing is bent or broken. Also make sure that all screws and possibly pressure bolts are all present and tightened or not loose. Such screws and pressure bolts as well as other moving parts can also be treated annually, if possible, with a dry lubricant or e.g. a silicone spray in order to extend their durability and to guarantee the folding function of the folding tent in the long term. Check the outside and inside support legs, scissor profiles, gable poles, and any push pin or push bolt locking mechanisms. On this occasion, it is also a good idea to clean the profiles from dust or dirt with a damp cloth. Also check the feet and, if necessary, carefully tighten the screws there as well. Safety is very important at any event. A properly functioning and well-maintained folding tent frame is the right way to a long-lasting product that you take out of the warehouse season after season, event after event and therefore like to use. Even with a quality folding tent like the expotent from Expotrade Group, something can happen – that’s why we offer a full “spare parts service” if something needs to be replaced. Sometimes small spare parts are enough to make the tent fully functional again. Throwing away is always the last alternative! Go to the spare parts shop here!
Advice 2
Clean your tent roof and sidewalls
Do you have a waterproof expotent folding tent and would you like it to stay that way for longer? Then completely unfold your folding tent with the tent roof on it and examine it inside and outside for dirt, damage or mold. Check all seams and fabrics carefully for tears, holes or the like. If your roof is dirty, clean the inside and outside with warm soapy water and a sponge. DO NOT use a coarse scraper brush or other abrasive objects, as these could damage the coating of the fabric and thus the waterproofing is no longer guaranteed. To do this, use gentle household cleaners and no harsh chemicals or bleach. Rinse thoroughly with a garden hose. Attach a spray nozzle to adjust the water pressure to a gentler setting. Rinsing is best done with the tent upright and fully open. Hosing down with a high-pressure cleaner is not recommended, as it is relatively easy to get too close to the fabric with the nozzle and the coating can be damaged by the high pressure of the water. Keep the roof and side walls mold free by making sure it is completely dry before storing it for long periods of time. The Ruckzuck tent can be stored in a wet state for a short time, but should then be opened up to at least half its size again at least 1 day later in order to allow the existing water to evaporate in the air. Advice 3
Secure your pavilion
When you use the expotent gazebo at an event or at home in the garden, there is no worse feeling than a gust of wind that lifts your beautiful tent. With a little planning in advance, you can prepare for these situations. Think about what type of floor you would like to set up the event tent or party tent. If the soil is soft, take into account the pegs supplied by Expotrade (also called pegs or pegs). These are located on the inside of the bag together with the tension belts that are also included. For concrete, asphalt or other hard surfaces, you can stabilize and weigh down your folding tent with the weight plates available as accessories (also called foot plates). These base plates are available in 15 kg and 25 kg versions. Depending on the size of the tent, it is necessary and advisable to stack a little more weight per leg so that the large area of the tent exposed to wind can be taken into account. These weights from Expotrade also have the advantage that they can be fixed around the tent legs with a Velcro fastener so that they cannot slip off the tent leg even in strong winds.
